HLTAID012- Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

Come and learn first aid the way it was meant to be taught.
This course is designed for staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency.
We focus on practical skills and knowledge to give you confidence to provide first aid in a real situation. Realistic scenarios prepare you for common emergencies encountered in schools and childcare settings including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.
Our courses are simple and fun yet extremely comprehensive. We don't spend a lot of time in the classroom, rather we get you outside in real work environments.
Classes can be tailored to your specific needs and we have fantastic group rates available.
Courses are scheduled regularly throughout the year at our training venue.
Alternatively we can offer onsite training at your workplace.
COURSE CONTENTS:
DRSABCD Action Plan
Managing the Unconscious Casualty
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Medical emergencies
Trauma emergencies
Environmental emergencies including bites & stings
Asthma & Anaphylaxis Recognition, management and prevention
This course meets first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training requirements under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).

4 hours face to face (with online pre-course study).
