We only employ experienced and current Emergency Department Nurses, Registered Paramedics, Doctors, EMT's (Medics) and Lifeguards. Our staff have years of experience in managing real life medical emergencies.

When we teach first aid, the instructor up front of the class has the real life experience to draw upon.
When we provide event medic coverage, our staff have the knowledge and equipment to manage an emergency.
Meet The Team
Registered Nurse | Paramedic | Instructor
Jason has been teaching first aid and emergency care for over 20 years. He has dual AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse & Paramedic with specialties in Emergency, Critical Care, Trauma and Aeromedical retrieval. Until recently Jason was nursing team leader of the Severe Trauma and Resuscitation team in a major regional Emergency Department.
He has authored numerous first aid publications and developed learning programs for RTO's and universities across Australia. Jason specialises in remote area medic work and education. He also has vocational qualifications in Education, Outdoor Recreation, WHS and is currently completing post-graduate studies in Occupational Health & Safety.
Danielle Taylor- Director
Human Resources & Sales Coordinator
Danielle has more than a decade in training, sales and marketing having worked for organisations such as Bluescope Steel, Orcon Steel & CHEP Asia Pacific. She has qualifications in Human Resources, Vocational Training, Allied Health & Education Support.
David Beckham- Major Events Coordinator
David joins our team with over 15 years’ experience in major event and disaster management. David’s background is in major event planning (clinical) & disaster management in which he has organised and lead clinical teams for natural disasters and major events like the Brisbane EKKA, Mt Isa Rodeo, Groovin the Moo and the Great Barrier Reef Marathon just to name a few. David holds qualifications as a medic, major incident medical management & support, hospital incident medical management & support, qualified trainer and a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.
Jeremy is a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Cairns Hospital.
Geane is one of our medics and is currently studying a Bachelor of Paramedicine.
Amanda is a Registered Nurse with an Intensive Care background.
Jacob has been in the Lifeguard industry for 10 years, providing aquatic rescue services throughout Australia and overseas in Indonesia and Japan. He is also currently completing a Bachelor of Paramedic Science to develop further clinical knowledge.
Manager | Lifeguard Services | BLS Medic
Calum started his lifeguard career in 2013 working at a lagoon and beach in Airlie Beach before moving to the US in 2016. He returned the following year to manage a new lifeguarding team. He has worked as a lifeguard and Junior Lifeguard instructor on Hamilton Island before moving to South East Queensland at the busiest Lagoon in Australia where he successfully managed a large team of lifeguards.
Kate is both Senior Medical Officer in Cairns Hospital Emergency Department and provides clinical oversight for all Category 5 operations. She holds fellowships in both the Australian College of Emergency Medicine and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. Until recently she also worked as a Flight Doctor with the RFDS.
Paramedic, First Aid Instructor
Michael completed his Bachelor of Paramedic Science in 2020 at CQU. He has worked for numerous first aid companies as a volunteer and now as a AHPRA registered paramedic for Catagory 5. Michael recently completed his cert IV TAE and is the main first aid trainer for Category 5.
Paramedic | Instructor
Peter has more than 30 years experience as a paramedic. He has a keen interest in educating new paramedics and is a great mentor for our staff.
Ange has recently completed her Bachelor of Nursing after working as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse for 14 years, 9 of those in ED. She has worked at the Commonwealth Games, Ironman cairns, Mount Isa rodeo, Port Douglas triathlon, Einsleigh rodeo, Cairns Taipans basketball games, Innisfail and Cairns shows.
Enrolled Nurse | Instructor
Kevin worked for the Queensland Ambulance Service as an Advanced Care Paramedic for over 18 years. He has been teaching first aid since 2000 and is currently working as an Enrolled Nurse.
James is one of our medics and is currently studying a Bachelor of Paramedicine.
